I look forward to guiding you or your child on your martial arts journey.

The journey I started was when I was 9 years old, a shy boy from a small town in Derbyshire. I have been doing Tae Kwon Do for over 30 years. I hold the World Master rank of 7th degree black belt but the journey has gone a little further than that for me. I found success as a competitor and have travelled the world with Tae Kwon Do. I have been a Great Britain/England Team member for nearly 20 years. I have also been fortunate enough to captain the team since 2001 and we have been the most successful team to date, winning the World Championships 4 times in a row. I have personally won in every country that I’ve been to, have won several World and European titles and am the current World and European Champion. Now my competition career is over, I proudly go into a coaching role with the Great Britain/England Team. Where I have been successful in coaching the team to further World and European championship wins.

My classes are family orientated, energetic, fun, challenging and I love what I do. I run classes in Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Wimborne.

JOSHUA SMITH

Hi I'm Josh I became a full time instructor at GFTKD in 2018 after gaining his degree in sport and exercise science in 2017 from the University of Portsmouth. He is now regularly competing in Taekwondo on the International circuit with success, which include: World, European and British medals.

BRADLEY TAYLOR

Hi, Bradley has asked me to write a small bio for him. Don’t know if this is ok or not....Bradley is a qualified assistant instructor at Gordon Fearne TKD and is enhanced DBS checked. Bradley started training in 1999. At a young age he won multiple national championships and three international titles. After a 12 year break to focus on his career and starting a family, Bradley returned to Gordon Fearne TKD in 2017. He currently assists Master Fearne in classes and is now focusing on his 2nd Dan.

I have been training with Master Gordon Fearn for eight years. I am currently one of the Head storm instructors and enjoy teaching and encouraging children.

NATALIE PERRY-JONES

Natalie began her martial arts journey later in life as a way to enjoy exercise with her children having spent her own childhood watching her dad practise Taekwondo. This developed into not only attaining her blackbelt but also gold, silver and bronze medals at National competition level. She is a qualified and DBS checked instructor who thoroughly enjoys dedicating time to teaching others and is a great example to all the grown ups that it’s never too late to start.

My name is Ethan and I started training in 2011. I became a black belt 2015. I teach at the Bournemouth classes. I enjoy teaching and also started to teach in the little ninjas class this year 2019.

JORDON PERRY

Jordan is a qualified and DBS checked instructor who enjoys dedicating his free time to helping others excel in Taekwondo. He has taken part in many National competitions earning gold and bronze trophies in sparring. Outside the dojang Jordan is an A-Level student also competent in basic first aid.

HARRIET ANTHONEY

Harriet began her journey in my Little Ninja programme when she was just 5 years old. She was a very nervous little girl, each week it was encouraging to see her confidence grow more and more. At 7 years old she moved up to my Taekwondo classes which was a big step for Hattie but she embraced it and flourished. I am very proud to say that she attained her Blackbelt aged just 12. Hattie has competed in a couple of National competitions and would like to try some more. She has grown into a confident young lady and a fantastic role model within my schools.

ARABELLA THURLOW

Hi my name is Arabella and I am 12 years old. I started Taekwondo aged 5 I am now a Black Belt 2 star. I enjoy Taekwondo because you get to meet new people,stay fit and learn self-defence. My favourite thing about being a STORM Leader is helping people older and younger than me develop and learn new techniques. Being a STORM Leader has helped me learn new skills and have a better understanding of teaching.

In addition to Taekwondo I also play cricket, netball and athletics.

I would like to thank Master Fearn and everyone at GFTKD for helping me to get where I am now.

ROBBIE WARDELL

STORM Instructor

I am currently a 1st Degree Black Belt working towards my 2nd Dan. I love being on the storm team so I can help other students achieve their best and at the same time have fun. I also love to compete nationally, so it is great to be able to help coach others students and see them get the same success and enjoyment out of Taekwondo as I do, either by competing, grading or just in class. I am also very big into skiing and am a qualified instructor. When I am not skiing or doing Tae Kwon Do i am a qualified Nurse and have recently joined the TAGB Medics.

I also help with the Theory, the theory done on gradings is something Ive created to help students to understand it better.

Louise is a friendly, hard working and committed girl who loves to help others learn and loves training in Taekwondo herself.

CHARLOTTE ANTHONEY

Charlotte’s journey began at Little Ninja’s when she was a feisty 3 year old with an abundance of energy. Even at such a young age Charlotte’s grasp of Korean and her pronunciation were beyond her years. She moved up to Taekwondo at just 6 years old as she was so determined to keep up with her sister Harriet. After lots of hard work at just 10 years Charlotte attained her Blackbelt becoming the youngest in my schools currently. She is a bubbly character that enjoys working with the Little Ninja’s. I am very proud to have in my Storm Team setting a great example within my schools.

JAMES MONTGOMERY

Hi I am James aged 12 years old and love tkd and playing x box ! I joined little ninjas aged 4 and at 7 moved to junior Tkd where I began sparring and patterns. Through training hard on a regular basis having perseverance, discipline and indomitable spirt I was proud to gain my black belt at aged 11. While training I enjoy increasing my fitness which has helped me at school and improving my technique while sparring and completing patterns. I now help sir train little ninjas at fitness first Poole which is where I began. Sir is an excellent teacher who always give you the best instruction in return he wants you give 100% effort while showing respect and integrity. My friends at gftkd are one big extended family, making training fun and always look out for each other at competitions but more importantly developing each other to perform at a higher standard. They have personally helped me become a more confident person. I am working towards my 2nd dan after gaining my bb 1st Star last year.

Luke Dickinson

I’ve been training for 5 years and support the classes at Baden Powell on Fridays. I achieved my black belt in April 2018 and now enjoy the opportunity to share what I’ve learnt with students training for their next grade, especially my twin brothers. When I’m not training I enjoy football, cricket and Sailing.
